Provision of law

We present the most important provisions of law connected with the training courses held by our Centre, conditions of obtaining UDT licences as well as technical devices subject to technical inspection.

  • The Ordinance of the Council of Ministers of 7th December 2012 on the types of technical devices subject to technical inspection (J. of L. 2012, no.0, item 1468) issued pursuant to Article 5 Paragraph 2 of the Technical Inspection Act

The Ordinance includes types of technical devices subject to technical inspection. It contains information on the forms of conducting technical inspection of devices, kinds of technical inspections and their dates as well as the scope of inspections for technical devices used by employing institutions. The Ordinance deals with pressure equipment, lifting jacks, devices used in inhouse transport, chair and cabin conveyors, containers for storing combustibles and noxious materials.

  • Act of 21st December 2000 on technical inspection (J. of L. of 2013, item 963 as amended)

The Act comprises the information on principles, forms, and profiles of technical inspection conducted by authorized units. These are the fundamental provisions of law, pursuant to which the Bureau of Technical Inspection (Urząd Dozoru Technicznego) functions. It also focuses on guidelines concerning their implementation on the territory of the Republic of Poland, principles of obtaining UDT licences, principles of the approval of technical devices for operation, principles of their development and production as well as repairs and modernizations.

  • The Ordinance of Minister of Economy of 18th July 2001 on the mode of controlling a licence required to operate and maintain technical devices (J. of L., no. 79, item 849), amended by the ordinance of 20th February 2003 (J. of L., no. 50, item 426), issued pursuant to Article 23 Paragraph 5 of Technical Inspection Act

The Ordinance contains provisions concerning controlling the licence necessary to operate and maintain technical devices as well as types of technical devices, for the operation of which the licence is required. Furthermore, there is also a specimen of the application for the control of a licence, along with the explanation of its provisions and time limits of which anyone interested in obtaining such a licence should be notified. The Ordinance also presents conditions of conducting exams by the Bureau of Technical Inspection (Urząd Dozoru Technicznego).

  • The Ordinance of Minister of Economy of 28th December 2001 on conditions of technical inspection to which lifting jacks should correspond

The Ordinance focuses on conditions of technical inspection within the framework of design, production and maintenance of mechanical and hand-operated cranes as well as rectilinear cranes in vertical movement with the use of fixed elements and partial use of hoisting system. In the Ordinance there are also additional information concerning specimens, calculation factors of devices, security factors, procedures of the exchange of crane elements, including those which are not subject to consultations with units responsible for technical inspection.

  • The Ordinance of Minister of Economy, Labour and Social Policy of 29th October 2003 on technical conditions of technical inspection in the operation of some inhouse devices (J. of L., no. 193, item 1890)

The Ordinance includes provisions concerning technical conditions of technical inspection of inhouse transport devices, including overhead cranes, hoists, winches, cranes, ladder lifts, stacker cranes, mobile lift platforms, vehicles for the disables, platform and cabin conveyors, travelators and escalators, elevators intended to transport people and loads, construction cranes, small ladder lifts, cable cranes, industrial trucks, rotary cranes and unit load devices.
